Overview
This is one of the better full-day options out of Samui if you want something that actually goes somewhere. A junk sailing boat, a proper lunch, snorkeling, a quiet beach stop, and you’re watching the sunset on the way home. That’s a solid day.
You’re picked up from your hotel between 9:45 and 10:55 AM and transported to the pier, where you board and head out toward Koh Phangan. The cruise itself takes around 6 to 8 hours total. At noon, there’s a buffet lunch onboard with five Thai dishes. After that, the boat anchors at Koh Ma Reef — a decent snorkeling spot with gear provided. Then you stop at Thong Nai Pan beach on Phangan’s quieter northeast coast, where you can swim, sunbathe, get a massage, or just sit with a cocktail. On the return leg, as the light gets good, there are sunset appetizers on deck. You’re back at the pier around 7:00 PM and then transferred to your hotel.
Good for couples, solo travellers, and anyone who’d rather be on a boat than a beach bar. It’s a shared tour with a max of 30 people — not a private charter, but it doesn’t feel cramped.
If you’re looking for a relaxed full day on the water with actual food, a proper snorkel stop, and a sunset on the way home — this one delivers. Check availability and book on Viator
Board a classic wooden junk boat for the full-day cruise. The pace is relaxed and unhurried, with plenty of deck space, shade, and time to enjoy the journey between Samui and Koh Phangan.
The cruise is timed around sunset so you will be sailing as the light drops over the Gulf of Thailand. One of the standout photo moments on this trip — bring a camera.
Multiple snorkeling stops included around Koh Phangan coastal waters. Equipment provided. Visibility is noticeably better than Chaweng beach.
Lunch and light refreshments included throughout the day. Simple Thai-style food — enough to keep you going. Drinks available throughout the cruise.
